Straight teeth without the stress

When you smile, do you feel self-conscious about your teeth? Do your teeth appear as though there isn't enough room in your jaw for them by sticking out excessively or pushing up against one another? Invented in 2000, the Inman Aligner is a straightforward and effective orthodontic treatment that can cure mild crowding and rotation of the teeth.

How it works

A bar that is positioned across the front of the teeth reverses the pressure applied by the coil spring to the back of the teeth that need to be realigned in the Inman Aligner. These elements combine to "squeeze" teeth into the proper position.

How long does it take?

Two one-and-a-half-hour consultations are required for aligner fitting, followed by monthly 15-minute check-ups. Most patients will be treated with Inman Aligners for 6 to 16 weeks, which will cut down on the number of dental appointments.

Is it painful?

For the first week or so, some patients discover they need to take some light painkillers. The appliances often do not cause much discomfort because of the mild yet consistent orthodontic stresses produced. For 24 to 48 hours, it could make you salivate more than usual, just like anything unfamiliar to your mouth.

Is Invisalign similar to Inman aligner?

No, the top and bottom front teeth are the only teeth that can be treated with the Inman Aligner. Full arches may be treated using Invisalign.

Can Inman aligner impact my speech?

Your speech will be affected by the Inman Aligner for a couple of weeks. However, you will eventually become acclimated to the devices and resume speaking naturally.
