CT Scans

Precision imaging in the form of three-dimensional x-rays, often known as CT scans, is one of the many technical advancements in dentistry that have developed in recent years. Cranmore employs cutting-edge digital imaging technology, which enables us to diagnose and care for our patients in accordance with the highest standards. In Ireland, we are one of very few practises with a CBCT scanner.

The main benefit of CT scanners is that they produce a negligible amount of radiation while producing an extremely accurate and thorough x-ray of your mouth region.  Laura Fee and her staff then put these photos into a software programme to begin planning treatments, such as those for patients who need dental implants. Given the great clarity of the photos, surgery may be virtually planned by determining in 3D where the implants are to be inserted, allowing no room for error during the actual procedure.
